Aplikasi konsep tanah bertetulang dalam struktur tembok bumi semakin popular pada zamam sekarang. Tembok penahan geogrid bertetulang sering dibanding dengan tembok penahan kantilver konkrit bertetulang disebabkan kelebihannya dalam banyak aspek. Projek tahun akhir ini yang berdasarkan projek syarikat berkaitan dengan perbandingan antara tembok penahan geogrid bertetulang dengan tembok dinding kantiliver konkrit bertetulang darip aspek kejuruteraan. Sebagai alat analisis dalam kajian ini, perisian komputer elemen terhingga yang terkenal PLAXIS V8 digunakan. Tingkah laku tembok selepas tempoh pembinaan disiasat. Dalam kajian ini, tembok penahan geogrid bertetulang didapati mempunyai sesaran yang lebih kecil berbanding dengan tembok penahan kantiliver konkrit bertetulang. Aliran agihan tegasan dalam tanah juga berbeza dengan satu sama lain. Faktor keselamatan tembok penahan geogrid bertetulang juga lebih tinggi. Selain itu, prestasi tembok penahan dalam keadaan tanah dan bahan isi tembok penahan yang berbeza dikaji juga. Hasil daripada itu, keputusan yang lebih nyata di mana struktur tanah dalam muka tembok penahan geogrid bertetulang mengalami sesaran yang lebih kecil. Perbezaan enapan dalam tembok penahan geogrid bertetulang juga lebih kecil berbanding dengan tembok penahan kantiliver konkrit bertetulang boleh diperhatikan dalam gambar rajah peta kontur sesaran.

The application of reinforced soil concept in earth retaining structure is getting popular nowadays. The Geogrid Reinforced Retaining Wall is often compared to RC Cantilever Retaining Wall due to its better advantages in many aspects. This final year project is concerned with the comparison between Geogrid Reinforced Retaining Wall and RC Cantilever Retaining Wall from engineering aspect based on a company project. Wellknown geotechnical finite element analysis software, PLAXIS V8 is used as analysis tool in this study. The retaining wall’s behavior in post construction was investigated. It was found that the Geogrid Reinforced Retaining Wall deform lesser than RC Cantilever Retaining Wall. The trend of stress distribution in the soil is different from each other. The factor of safety of Geogrid Reinforced Retaining Wall is also higher. Besides that, the performance of retaining wall with different ground condition and backfill material is studied as well. The results are more evident in which the Geogrid Reinforced Retaining Wall has smaller displacement in wall facing as well as soil body. The differential settlement in Geogrid Reinforced Retaining Wall is small compared to RC Cantilever Retaining Wall in which can be observed in displacement contour map diagram.
