Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk memfabrikasi empat bilah helicopter menggunakan bahan komposit dan aluminium. Bilah yang telah difabrikasi akan dianalisis menggunakan Analisis Unsur Terhingga. Helikopter sepaksi adalah sebuah helikopter dengan sepasang bilah helicopter dipasang diatas antara satu sama lain pada aci setempat and berputar pada arah yang berlainan. Fabrikasi bilah helicopter bermula dengan fabrikasi acuan untuk digunakan keatas empat bilah helicopter untuk menghasilkan bentuk and geometri yang sama. Kekuatan bilah dianalisis menggunakan perisian ANSYS untuk menentukan keupayaan bilah keatas daya yang dikenakan. Daya angkat dan daya emparan yang dijana oleh ‘spar’ diukur menggunakan kiraan manual sebelum diimport ke dalam analysis ANSYS. Tegasan maksimum yang diperoleh daripada analisis adalah 405MPa manakala kekuatan bagi aluminium adalah 414MPa. Spar mampu menahan bebanan yang diberikan kerana nilai tegasan adalah lebih rendah berbanding kekuatan aluminium. Analisis kelelahan diperoleh daripada kiraan menggunakan persamaan kekuatan lelahan. Kekuatan lelahan bagi aluminium adalah 93.6 MPa. Menggunakan nilai yang diperoleh, satu graf dijana dan nilai faktor keselamatan aluminium dapat dikira dan bernilai 1.4 ___________________________________________________________________________________ The purpose of this research is to fabricate four rotor blades using composite material and aluminium. Then, the blades are analyzing using Finite Element analysis such as ANSYS. Coaxial rotor is a single seat helicopter with a pair of helicopter mounted one above the other on concentric shaft with same axis but in different direction. Fabrication process of the blades is started with the fabrication of the mould. Mould is a hollowed-out block that is filled with ceramic raw materials. A mould is fabricated to make sure all the blade s produced follow the requirement of the actual blade and make the process of fabrication become easier. Then, the structural integrity can analyze using the ANSYS. The lift force and centrifugal force generated on the spar is calculated based on the general calculation. Then the value is imported to the ANSYS to analysis is structural strength. The maximum stress obtained from the ANSYS is 405MPa and aluminium alloy has yield strength of 414MPa. The spar is able to withstand the load applied because the maximum stress is lower than the yield strength. Fatigue analysis is done manually using the equation of fatigue strength. The fatigue strength of aluminium alloy is 93.6MPa. From this value, a constant life fatigue diagram is plotted and safety factor is calculated. The safety factor for the aluminium alloy is 1.4 thus this spar is able to withstand the load applied.
