Production of bio hydrogen via supercritical water gasification (SCWG) is analyzed in term of hydrogen production and carbon monoxide release. The design of the reactor proposed in the supercritical water gasification process involving several substrates which are glycerol and phenol. Both of the substrate is simulated through AspenPlusTM version 8.8 using Peng-Robinson method. The influence of various parameter has been test in order to achieve the best result. The parameter involve in this simulation are type of substrate, percentage of substrate use, temperature and pressure are analyzed. The 20% reactant substrate has been chosen and simulation has been run by each substrate. Result shows that the hydrogen maximum production at high temperature and low pressure without any other constraint. Thus, various constraint has been tested in order to get the best result for the simulation. The parameter has been taken for each constrain. Cost analysis also has been run in this simulation to see whether the hydrogen or methane gives the best cost value for the plant. Finally, a comparison between the substrate has been tested to determine which substrate gives better hydrogen production.
