Salah satu keprihatinan untuk pengguna elektrik domestic adalah kadar penggunaan tenaga elektrik pendingin hawa. Dalam projek ini, kajian penggunaan tenaga elektrik pendingin hawa dengan menikmati kecanggihan teknologi dalam IoT. Pada masa menjalankan eksperimen, mikropengawal akan muat naik data yang direkod ke pelantar awan ThingSpeak. Kajian penggunaan tenaga elektrik waktu sebenar pendingin hawa dengan telah dimantau daripada 2pm hingga 4pm petang kerana inilah waktu puncak penggunaan pendingin hawa disebabkan suhu cuaca luar rumah adalah tertinggi dalam seharian. Dalam kajian ini, tugas pemantauan penggunaan tenaga elektrik untuk 2 unit model pendingin hawa yang dipasangkan dalam 2 bilik yang berbeza. Projek ini juga mempaparkan pembinaan sistem pemantauan penggunaan tenaga elektrik yang kos rendah dan applikasi sistem yang berintegrasi dengan pelantar awan ThingSpeak. Sistem pemantauan penggunaan tenaga elektrik dikembang dengan mikropengawal NodeMCU Lua V3 ESP8266 untuk tujuan mengumpulkan dan muat naik data ke pelantar awan, Aplikasi pengubah arus penderia YHDC SCT013-20A tujuan untuk mengukur saliran elektrik dan pelantar awan ThingSpeak untuk pengumpulan dan ilustrasi data. Data yang dikumpul dalam pelantar awan akan dieksportkan ke MATLAB dan Microsoft Excel untuk tujuan menganalisis data. Dalam bahagian akhir laporan ini, jadual dengan kadar bil elektrik yang rendah untuk peroperasi pendingin hawa akan dicadangkan. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ One of the major concerns in every household is their air-conditioner's electricity energy consumption. In this project, the air conditioner electricity energy consumption is studied with different temperature setpoint with the aids of advanced technology integrated with IoT. During the experiment, the collected data will be uploaded to ThingSpeak cloud platform from microcontroller. The air conditioner electricity usage is monitored and collected in real-time between 2pm and 4pm afternoon because this period is the peak time for consumers to turn on their air-conditioner as having highest outdoor temperature in a day. In this project, electricity energy consumption of 2 different model of air-conditioner in different individual room are monitored. This paper also presenting the development of miniaturised version of individual real-time energy usage monitoring system based on IoT platform that able to update the real-time data to the cloud system. In this project, the miniaturised version of real-time energy usage monitoring system is developed with NodeMCU Lua V3 ESP8266 microcontroller that performing calculation and uploading data to cloud, YHDC SCT013-20A non-invasive current transformer current sensor used to detects the real-time current flow as well as the ThingSpeak cloud platform that used for the data collecting and data illustration. The collected data in cloud is exported to MATLAB software and Microsoft Excel for further data analysis. At the end of this report, a suitable temperature setpoint schedule that enable an affordable electricity prices are proposed.
