BS EN 50103:1996 is a British Standard that specifies the performance requirements and test methods for radio disturbance and immunity measuring apparatus and methods. It covers equipment used for measuring electromagnetic emissions and immunity from radio equipment and systems operating in the frequency range 9 kHz to 18 GHz. The standard provides guidance on the measurement of electromagnetic radiation and susceptibility of electronic equipment to electromagnetic fields. It specifies the test methods and procedures to be followed to determine the level of immunity or susceptibility of an electronic device to electromagnetic interference. BS EN 50103:1996 is a harmonized standard under the EU's EMC Directive (2014/30/EU). Compliance with this standard is required for the CE marking of equipment intended to be sold in the European Union. It should be noted that BS EN 50103:1996 has been superseded by BS EN 50103:2020, which is the current version of the standard. The latest version incorporates updates to reflect changes in technology and regulatory requirements.
