Proses berkelompok melaksanakan suatu set arahan mengikut turutan tanpa campur-tangan oleh faktor luaran. Ia banyak diaplikasikan di dalam loji perindustrian dan pembuatan kerana hasil kerjanya yang sistematik , dilaksanakan oleh mesin secara automatik dan tanpa memerlukan tenaga kerja yang banyak. Sistem kawalan proses berkelompok lebih mudah dikendalikan dengan menggunakan Pengawal Logik Boleh Aturcara (PLC). Dalam projek ini, kawalan PLC bagi proses berkelompok dilakukan untuk mengawal proses mencampurkan cecair. Terdapat tiga jenis cecair yg berbeza, iaitu cecair A, cecair B dan cecair C. Kandungan isipadu cecair adalah dikawal dengan menggunakan pemasa yang terdapat di dalam PLC tersebut. Terdapat dua kuantiti cecair yand berbeza iaitu 1.0 liter dan 1.5 liter. Bagi setiap kuantiti cecair yang berbeza yang ditentukan oleh pengguna, setiap cecair tersebut akan dicampurkan di dalam tangki pemproses dengan menggunakan motor pengaduk. Apabila cecair tersebut telah bercampur dengan sebati, ianya akan disalurkan ke tangki produk. Bagi mengalirkan cecair daripada satu tangki ke tangki yang lain, pam air digunakan. Perisian yang digunakan dalam projek ini ialah Cx-Programmer dan V-SFT. Cx-Programmer adalah berasaskan kepada gambarajah tangga manakala perisian V-SFT bertindak sebagai penghubung bagi unit antaramuka mesin dan manusia (HMI). Bagi melaksanakan projek ini, ia dibahagikan kepada tiga iaitu bahagian Mekanikal, bahagian Elektrik dan Elektronik, dan bahagian aturcara. Akhirnya, projek ini berjaya direalisasikan dengan membina satu pelantar untuk proses pencampuran tiga cecair dengan menggunakan pengawal PLC untuk mengawal keseluruhan proses berkelompok tersebut. Projek ini akan memberi manfaat daripada segi rekabentuk sistem mekatronik dan perlaksanaannya, yang mana, ia boleh digunakan selanjutnya sebagai suatu ujian-katil untuk kawalan berasaskan PLC di makmal bagi sistem pemprosesan berkelompok. ___________________________________________________________________________________ A batch process performs a list of commands in sequence without intervention. It has been applied in many industrial and manufacturing plant due to the systematic work done, automatically handled by machine and less work forces needed. Batch process control system is getting much easier if handling by using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). In this project, PLC control of batch process in mixing liquids will be implemented. There are three different types of liquid, which are Liquid A, Liquid B and Liquid C. The volume of liquid is controlled by using timer that has been embedded in the PLC. There have two different volumes that are 1 litre and 1.5 litres. For a different volume which will be entered by user, each of the liquids will be mixed in the Process Tank using a stirrer motor. When all the liquids are completely mixed, it will be drained to Product Tank. To control the flow of liquids from one tank to other tank, submersible water pump is used. The software that used in this project is CxProgrammer and V-SFT software. Cx-Programmer is based on the Ladder Logic Diagram, while V-SFT will act as user interfaces to Human Machine Interface (HMI) unit. To complete this project, it has been divided into three parts that is Mechanical part, Electrical and Electronic part and Programming part. At the end, the project has successful to develop a complete platform for 3 liquids mixing process with adoption of PLC controller to control the whole batch process. This project will benefit in terms of mechatronic system design and implementation, in which, it can be further used as a test-bed for laboratory PLC-based control of batch process system.
