Keratan keluli berbentuk segitiga „triangular web profile‟ merupakan keratan yang terdiri daripada dua plat bebibir dan bersambung pada web berbentuk segitiga. Daripada kajian kes terdahulu, kajian terhadap keratan segitiga amat terhad kerana web segitiga merupakan betuk yang baru diperkenalkan. Salah satu bidang yang masih belum diberi perhatian penuh ialah keupayaan keratan ini merintangi kelakuan ricih berbanding keratan web biasa. Skop kajian meliputi analisis unsur terhingga dan pencarian secara teoritikal terhadap keratan keluli berbentuk web segitiga dibawah kesan ricih melengkok. Kajian ini akan memberikan fokus kepada kesan bentuk web yang berbentuk segitiga berbanding dengan rasuk berbentuk web biasa. Bagi ujian ricih melengkok, 10 spesimen terlibat iaitu 5 rasuk I sebagai kawalan dan 5 rasuk berbentuk segitiga dengan 5 jenis ketebalan. Daripada 10 spesimen rasuk, 5 rasuk berbentuk segitiga mempunyai rintangan kelakuan ricih yang amat tinggi berbanding 5 rasuk biasa. Ini dapat disimpulkan bahawa ketebalan rasuk merupakan salah satu faktor yang menyumbang kekuatan rasuk. Keputusan telah menunjukkan rasuk berbentuk segitiga mempunyai rintangan ricih melengkok yang lebih tinggi berbanding rasuk berbentuk web biasa. Daripada keputusan tersebut, ini dapat disimpulkan bahawa teknik model menggunakan analisis eigenvalue amat sesuai digunakan dalam pembelajaran rintangan kelakuan ricih terhadap rasuk segitiga. ___________________________________________________________________________________ A triangular web profile steel section is a structural steel section that is made of two flanges connected to a web plate of triangular profile. From the literature review, very limited study on triangular steel section because the triangular web is the new proposed web section. An area that is not given full attention is the capability of triangular web profile section to resist shear behaviour compared to that of the normal flat web. The scope of study covered the finite element analysis and theoretical investigation of triangular web profile steel section subjected to shear buckling. The effect of the shape of the triangular web beams compared to that of the normal flat web beam was also studied. The shear buckling study will involved 10 specimens (5 flat webs as control and 5 triangular webs profile with 5 types of thickness web). From 10 specimens of web, 5 triangular webs have higher shear capacity than 5 flat webs. It concluded the thickness of web is one of the factors that contribute the performance of web. The results have shown that the triangular web profile had a higher shear buckling resistance compares to that of the flat web. From the result, it concludes that the modeling technique using eigenvalue analysis is reliable to be used in the study of shear capacity of triangular web.
