This British Standard specifies the requirements for seamless steel accumulator bodies used in gas-loaded hydraulic accumulators with a water capacity greater than 0.5 litres. It applies to accumulators used in hydraulic fluid power systems where compressed gas (usually nitrogen) is used to store energy, absorb shocks, or maintain pressure.
