Dalam kajian ini, perilaku selak komposit berlapis bersama dengan urutan susun berbeza telah diperhatikan secara eksperimen. Tujuan eksperimen ini adalah untuk mengetahui susunan optimum lamina dan saiz selak yang digunakan.Kemudian mod kegagalan yang berlaku pada sendi selak dikaji dan dianalisis. Untuk tujuan ini, beberapa panel lamina yang berbeza susun atur dihasilkan. Susun atur komposit lamina yang akan dihasilkan adalah (00,900)8, [(00,900)/(±450)]4, [(±450)/(00,900)/(±450)/(00,900)]s dan (±450)8. Manakala, terdapat parameter yang perlu dimalarkan untuk menyiasat mod kegagalan yang berlaku pada sendi selak. Parameter yang dimalarkan ialah nisbah diameter malar tepi ke lubang (E/D) dan nisbah lebar plat ke diameter (L/D) yang masing-masing memiliki nilai 3 dan 4. Hasil daripada kajian, didapati terdapat empat jenis mod kegagalan yang bakal berlaku semasa ekperimen ini dijalankan. Antaranya ialah bantalan, bersih-ketegangan,belahan dan ricih keluar.Selepas itu,jenis kegagalan yang terhasil dikaji dan disiasat.

In this study, behavior of bolt joint laminated composites with different stacking sequence had been observed experimentally. The aim is to investigate the optimized configuration of laminate layup and the bolt size to use. Then, the failure modes that occurred at the bolt joint were evaluated. For this purpose of study several configuration of laminate layup were produced. The composite laminated plates are stacked with the following four different orientations: (00,900)8, [(00,900)/(±450)]4 [(±450)/(00,900)/(±450)/(00,900)]s and (±450)8. These experimental studies have been carried out with constant edge-to-hole diameter ratio (E/D), and plate width-to-hole diameter ratio (W/D) which has a value of 3 and 4 respectively. Experimental results shows that, there are four type of failure modes which may occur when the specimen is subjected to tensile load, which are the bearing, net-tension, cleavage and shear-out failure modes. In this project, the type of failure modes which occurs will be observed and analyzed.
