Alat pengukuran nyahcas separa digunakan untuk mengesan kehadiran nyahcas separa di dalam mineral berasaskan minyak pengubah. Alat pengukuran ini digunakan di tapak pengagihan kuasa dan turut juga digunakan di dalam makmal bagi tujuan penyelidikan. Oleh itu, jelaslah bahawa alat pengukuran ini penting bagi pengesan aktiviti nyahcas separa ini di dalam alatan berkuasa tinggi. Disebabkan penyiasatan terhadap sifat nyahcas ini di dalam minyak pengubah bakal dijalankan di dalam makmal kuasa, Pusat Kejuruteraan Elektrik & Elektronik, USM, oleh itu, alat pengukuran nyahcas separa perlu dibangunkan kerana ia tiada buat masa ini. Maka, objektif projek ini adalah untuk membina alat pengukaran nyahcas ini dan juga untuk menganalisa corak nyahcas separa bagi mineral berasaskan minyak pengubah. Bagi projek ini, litar impedans sepadan dicadangkan sebagai alat pengukuran nyahcas ini. Litar ini terdiri daripada bahagian impedans sepadan dan juga bahagian pembesaran. Julat frekuensi bagi litar ini dinilai dengan menggunakan Agilent E5072C ENA Series Network Analyzer. Keputusan menunjukkan bahawa litar ini mempunyai julat frekuensi sehingga 900MHz dan isyaratnya meningkat pada 24dB. Alat pengukuran yang telah dibangunkan diuji di bawah konfigurasi elektrod jarum-satah. Alat pebukuran ini diuji berdasarkan voltan pemula nyahcas separa (VPNS) dan juga kehadiran nyahcas separa pada voltan 20kV dalam 100 kitaran. Keputusan menunjukkan bahawa alat pengukuran yang dibangunkan mampu mengesan VPNS positif dan negatif pada 14.32kV dan 15.25kV. Alat pengukuran ini juga turut mampu mengukur magnitud VPNS positif dan negatif pada 62µA dan 140µA. Tambahan pula, litar impedans sepadan ini mampu mengesan kehadiran aktiviti nyahcas separa dalam minyak transformer pada voltan 20kV. Keputusan menunjukkan bahawa alat pengukuran ini boleh mengesan aktiviti nyahcas ini aktif pada kitaran selepas 90o dan 270o. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ PD measurement device is required in order to detect the presence of partial discharge (PD) inside the mineral based transformer oil. Some of PD detectors are used at power distribution site and some of them are used in laboratory for research purposes. It is clearly show that PD detector is important to detect PD activities in power apparatus. Since the investigation of PD behavior in transformer oil is going to be conducted in power laboratory of School of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, USM, where the PD measurement device is not available at this moment, therefore the PD detection device is necessary to be developed. Thus, the objectives of this project are to develop the PD measurement device and to justify the PD occurrence in mineral based transformer oil by implementing PD measurement device. For this project, Impedance Matching Circuit (IMC) was proposed as PD measurement device. This device is consists of matching impedance part and amplification part. The frequency range of this circuit was evaluated by using Agilent E5072C ENA Series Network Analyzer. The result reveals that the frequency range of this circuit was up to 900MHz and amplified about 24dB. The developed IMC was tested under needle-plane electrode configuration. The IMC was tested based on partial discharge inception voltage (PDIV) and PD occurrence at 20kV of applied voltage in 100 cycles. The result shows that the IMC was able to detect positive and negative PDIV occurred at 14.32kV and 15.25kV respectively. The IMC was also able to measure the magnitude of typical positive and negative PDIV pulse at 62µA and 140µA respectively. In addition, the IMC was able to detect continuous PD occurrence activity on the transformer oil. The PD activity mostly occurred after 90o and 270o cycles.
