BS EN 60094-2:1996 is a European Standard titled "Magnetically driven vibrating systems - Part 2: Guide for the measurement of losses and efficiency". This standard provides guidance on the measurement of losses and efficiency in magnetically driven vibrating systems, including their design, construction, and testing.
The standard covers a range of magnetically driven vibrating systems, including those used in loudspeakers, microphones, and other transducers. It provides guidelines for the selection and calibration of measurement equipment, as well as the testing procedures to be followed.
BS EN 60094-2:1996 also specifies the requirements for data reporting and analysis, including the calculation of efficiency and losses based on measured data. It provides guidelines for the interpretation of test results and the comparison of different systems based on their performance characteristics.
Compliance with BS EN 60094-2:1996 is required in many countries to ensure the accuracy and consistency of measurements in magnetically driven vibrating systems. The standard has been updated several times since its initial publication to reflect the latest developments in measurement techniques and equipment.
