Menentukan aras perkhidmatan jalan arteri menggunakan kaedah highway capacity manual (hcm) Malaysia / Tan Choon Hoe
Jalan Arteri merupakan jalan yang membawa isipadu lalu lintas yang tinggi dan seringkali menimbulkan masalah kesesakan lalu lintas kepada pengguna jalan raya terutamanya pada waktu puncak. Fungsi utamanya adalah untuk menyediakan aliran lalu lintas terus manakala penyediaan laluan masuk ke kawasan bersebelahan adalah merupakan fungsinya yang kedua. Tujuan kajian ini dilakukan adalah untuk mendapatkan aras perkhidmatan bagi jalan arteri iaitu Jalan Taiping yang menghubungkan Parit Buntar dengan Nibong Tebal dengan kaeadah HCM Malaysia dan HCM 2000. Pada akhir projek ini, Maka akan diketahui aras perkhidmatan Jalan Taiping. Perbandingan aras perkhidmatan di antara kedua-dua HCM menunjukkan keputusan yang hampir sama. Had kebolehgunaan Graf hubungan laju-aliran bagi HCM Malaysia juga ditentukan. Perlaksanaan analisis kepekaan ke atas graf lajualiran yang menggunakan Model Underwood dari HCM Malaysia telah memaparkan signifikan aliran terhadap laju dan kepekaan graf tersebut dengan jelasnya. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Arterial road is a type of road that carried high amount of traffic flow and bring traffic congestion to road user frequently espacially during peak hour. The main function of an arterial road is to provide through traffic flow meanwhile it also play an important role in providing entrance road to the adjacent area along the road. The purpose of this thesis is to determine the level of services for Jalan Taiping which is an arterial road in Parit Buntar that provide access to Bandar Baharu and Nibong Tebal. The level of service for this arterial road will be determined by the help of Highway Capacity Manual Malaysia and HCM 2000. At the end of this study, we found that the level of service for Jalan Taiping by using HCM Malaysia and HCM 2000 shown only slight difference. The range of input for the speed-flow relationship was determined to ensure the reliability of HCM Malaysia. At last, sensitivity analysis for speed-flow relationship which is modeled by using Underwood Model showed effect of flow to speed change and Regrasion Model done shown that the graph is accurate.
