Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mereka cipta dan menganalisis plat condong, sistem berkitar and sistem kolektif helikopter yang digunakan untuk membawa seorang penumpang iaitu juruterbang helikopter. Dalam kes yang sebenar, pengetahuan teori tidak cukup untuk menilai keputusan analisis tegasan. Alat unsur terhingga seperti MSC Patran dan Nastran digunakan untuk meningkatkan ketepatan penilaian. Analisis linear statik dengan mengunakan perisisan komersil dijalankan untuk memastikan struktur yang direka cipta itu selamat di bawah beban yang dikenakan. Analisis unsur terhingga (FEA) telah dijalankan untuk mengkaji tahap tekanan linear statik di bawah beban yang dikenakan. Dalam permodelan unsur terhingga, struktur dimodelkan dengan unsur yang sesuai untuk mengelakkan komputer mengambil masa yang panjang dalam penganalisisan. Keputusan analisis unsur terhingga (FEA) kemudian diesahkan dengan keputusan pengiraan. Daripada keputusan yang diperolehi, perbezaan dalam peratusan daripada kedua-dua keputusan adalah sebanyak 1.7%. Perbezaan ini sangat kecil dan boleh diabaikan. Ini membuktikan bahawa keputusan yang diperolehi dalam analisis untuk plat condong, sistem berkitar and sistem kolektif helikopter dengan kaedah unsur terhingga (FEM) boleh dipercayai dan praktikal. Tegasan maksimum, 83.3 MPa yang diperolehi daripada keputusan analisis adalah sangat kecil berbanding dengan nilai tegasan yang diizinkan. ___________________________________________________________________________________ The purpose of this thesis is to design and analyse the swash plate, cyclic and collective system of a coaxial helicopter which was used to carry one passenger who is pilot of the helicopter. In real case, theoretical knowledge are not enough to evaluate the results of stress analysis, so a finite element tools such as MSC Patran and MSC Nastran was used to increase the accuracy of evaluation. Linear static analysis by using commercial software is performed to ensure the structure safe under the load. A finite element analysis has been conducted to investigate the linear static stress level under the applied loads. During the finite element modelling, the structure was modelled by suitable kinds of elements to prevent badly shaped elements which lead to computer resources associated with over-refinement and longer time of computer analysis. The finite element result of the simple task is then validating with result of hand calculation method. The different in percentage of validation is 1.7% which is very small and negligible. This proves that the finite element result for swash plate, cyclic and collective system is reliable and practical. The maximum stress, 83.8 MPa obtained from the system’s analysis result is very small compare to the allowable stress as its margin of safety equal to one.
