This sheet gives requirements for dual-wall, not flame-retarded, heat-shrinkable polyolefin sleeving.
The sleeving shall consist of an inner and outer layer, the outer layer being of a semi-rigid crosslinked polyolefin material as described in IEC 684-3-211, type 2. The inner layer is a substantially non crosslinked polyolefin that flows and fuses during the shrinkage process to provide a seal.
It is normally available in bore sizes up to 25 mm as supplied and in the following colours: black, white, red, yellow, blue and translucent.
NOTE - The sleeving has a minimum recovery temperature of 135 °C.
