Menjana elektrik daripada kipas syiling adalah satu proses mendapatkan tenaga elektrik daripada kipas syiling dengan menggunakan konsep penukaran tenaga. Penukaran tenaga yang digunakan dalam projek ini adalah penukaran tenaga kinetik kepada tenaga elektrik. Tenaga yang dijana adalah tenaga bebas kerana ia diperolehi daripada teknologi lain dan boleh ditukar dan disimpan dalam peranti lain. Matlamat projek ini adalah untuk menjana tenaga elektrik daripada putaran kipas syiling. Putaran kipas siling, selain daripada berfungsi sebagai satu sistem penyejukan, ia mempunyai potensi untuk menjana tenaga elektrik daripada tenaga kinetik yang dimiliknya. Beberapa Reka bentuk yang sesuai dengan kipas syiling yang telah direka dan sebuah prototaip rekabentuk telah dibuat. Reka bentuk termasuk dinamo basikal yang dipasang pada kipas syiling untuk menjana tenaga dan litar “Full Wave Rectifier Bridge’ untuk menukar tenaga yang terhasil. Putaran kipas syiling akan memutar kepala dinamo basikal yang dipasang pada kipas syiling. Daripada putaran kipas syiling, dinamo basikal akan menjana tenaga dalam arus Ulang-Alik (AC) dan kemudiannya ditukar kepada arus terus (DC) oleh penerus. Beberapa ujikaji telah dijalankan dan hasil daripada kuasa masukan dan keluaran kuasa telah dianalisis. Projek ini telah berjaya menjana maksimum 12.82 V dalam AC apabila diuji dengan tiada beban dan 11.72 V dalam AC dengan beban. Kuasa maksimum yang dijana adalah 1.1221-Watt apabila 100 Ohm perintang digunakan sebagai beban. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Generating electricity from ceiling fan is a process of obtaining electrical energy from ceiling fan by using the concept of energy conversion. The energy conversion involves in this project is the conversion of kinetic energy to electrical energy. The energy generated is a free energy as it was obtained from other technologies and can be convert and stored in other devices. The aim of this project is to generates an electrical energy from the rotation of the ceiling fan. The rotation of ceiling fan, other than functioning as a cooling system, it has the potential to generates electricity from its kinetic energy. A few design that was suitable with the ceiling fan has been made and a prototype of the selected design has been made. The design includes a bicycle dynamo attached to the ceiling fan to generate the energy and a simple Full Wave Bridge rectifier to convert the energy output. The rotation of ceiling fan will rotate the head of the bicycle dynamo that attaches to the ceiling fan. From the rotation of the ceiling fan, the bicycle dynamo attached will generate energy in Alternating Current (AC) and later converted to Direct Current (DC) by the rectifier. A few experiment was conducted and the result of the input power and output power had been analysed. The project has successfully generated a maximum of 12.82 V in AC output when tested with no load and 11.72 V in AC with a load. The highest output power produced is 1.1221-Watt when 100 Ohm resistor was used as the load.
