Apabila kita menangkap sesuatu imej dengan mengunakan apa-apa yang berformatkan digital, kita hendak yg terbaik, cantik dan terang, tetapi kadang-kadang imej yang ditangkapkan itu tidak memuaskan. Imej adalah dibentuk dari komponen pencahayaan dan komponen pemantulan, tetapi pencahayaan yang tidak terkawal atau tidak setara akan memberi kesan kepada pembentangan imej. Oleh itu, di dalam pemprosesan imej digital, telah diciptakan satu penuras domain frekuensi untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan mengurangkan kesan pencahayaan yang di kawasan yang berfrekuensi rendah dan meningkatkan pemantulan objek dikawasan berfrekuensi tinggi iaitu penuras homomorphic. Beberapa kaedah fungsi homomorphic akan diperoleh dengan mengubahsuai penuras laluan tinggi dan huraian dalam bentuk teori akan diterangkan dengan terperinci. Di dalam projek ini, perbentangan imej adalah imej skala kelabu, dan semua yang melibatkan pemprosesan, pengubahsuaian dan penghasilan keputusan diimplimentasi dalam perisian MATLAB dan pendukungnya, Image Processing Toolbox, dari The Math Works, Inc. Once we had captured an image by using anything in digital format, we want a best, beautiful and clear, but sometimes an image we had capture is unsatisfactory. An each image is formed by illumination and reflectance components but the unbalancing or non-linear of illumination can effect an image performance. So in digital image processing, one of frequency domain filtering technique was created to solve the problem by reducing the illumination component in low frequency and enhancing reflectance component in high frequency. The name of this filter is homomophic filter. A few methods of homomorphic function will be obtained by modification of highpass filter and a theoretical description and modification of homomorphic filter will be shown in detail in this paper. In this project, implementation will be performed on standard grayscale and all the processing, adjusting and resulting will be implement in MATLAB. The software codes and supporting tools are based on the MATLAB Image Processing Toolbox, from The Math Works, Inc.
