Projek ini bertujuan untuk membangunkan, reka bentuk dan membina sebuah terowong angin kecil untuk demonstrasi aliran visualisasi. Aspek reka bentuk yang diberi tumpuan adalah kelajuan rendah (6 m / s), kos rendah (kurang dari RM 1000), mudah alih, dan bertujuan untuk mengkaji kesan aliran lalu melalui model dua dimensi. Sebab di sebalik setiap keputusan reka bentuk dikaji, dan lukisan model telah dihasilkan menggunakan perisian CATIA. Struktur terowong angin itu dibuat daripada kayu, nisbah lebar kepada ketinggian seksyen ujian sebanyak 1: 4, dan jumlah panjang sebanyak 1 meter. Sistem aliran visualisasi yang digunakan adalah melalui kaedah wayar-panas. Kelajuan angin dikawal melalui kipas komputer, dan pelbagai ujian telah dijalankan untuk mengetahui konfigurasi yang sesuai dalam menghasilkan kualiti asap yang baik. Keputusan ujian diambil dalam bentuk imej, dan terowong angina dilihat mampu menghasilkan asap yang seragam dan selaras. ______________________________________________________________________________________ This project aims to develop, design and construct a small scale wind tunnel model for flow visualization demonstration. The design aspect focuses on the low speed (6 m/s), low cost (less than RM 1000) and portable wind tunnel to study the effect of flow past through two-dimensional model. Justification for each design decisions are considered, and the model drawing is generated by using CATIA software. The structure of the wind tunnel is made from wood, test section width to height ratio of 1:4, and a total length of 1 meter. The flow visualization system utilized the use of a heated-wire smoke generation method. Wind speed is controlled through a conventional computer fan and various tests are carried out to identify the best configuration in producing good quality smoke line. Results in the form of images are compared and the final wind tunnel model is observed to produce uniform and discrete smoke line.
