Skop besar projek ini adalah untuk membangunkan sebuah Kenderaan Udara Tanpa Pemandu (UAV) dengan fungsi pemandangan juruterbang (FPV). Beban kerja telah dibahagikan kepada dua sub-projek: Sub-projek A dan Sub-Projek B. Sub-projek A tertumpu kepada reka bentuk dan pembinaan UAV, manakala, Sub-projek B memberi tumpuan kepada analisis UAV dan . Tesis ini membentangkan bahagian Sub-projek A: Reka bentuk dan Pembinaan UAV satu. Proses reka bentuk terbahagi kepada tiga bahagian: reka bentuk konsep, reka bentuk awal dan reka bentuk terperinci. Dalam reka bentuk konsep, perisian baru: CEASIOM dengan sokongan CATIA V5R21 telah digunakan untuk meramalkan ciri-ciri penerbangan. Pendekatan reka bentuk baru dibincangkan sebagai sebahagian daripada keunikan projek ini. Bahagian analisis reka bentuk awal dijalankan di sub-projek B. Reka bentuk terperinci menyediakan reka bentuk akhir untuk fabrikasi. Akhir sekali, tesis ini menyediakan proses fabrikasi dengan menggunakan tangan untuk komposit. ______________________________________________________________________________________ A big scope of this project is to develop an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) with First-Person View (FPV) function. The workload has been divided into two sub- projects: Sub-project A and Sub-Project B. Sub-project A is focus on the design and construction of an UAV, while Sub-project B focuses on the UAV analysis and subsystems integration. This thesis presents the Sub-project A part: Design and Construction of an UAV. The design process is divided into three phases: conceptual design, preliminary design and detail design. In the conceptual design, new software: Computerized Environment for Aircraft Synthesis and Integrated Optimisation Methods (CEASIOM) with the support of CATIA V5R21 has been used to predict the flight characteristics. A new design approach is discussed as a part of uniqueness of this project. The analysis part in the preliminary design is conducted in sub-project B. The detail design provides the final design for the fabrication. Lastly, in this thesis provides the fabrication process by using hand lay-up process for composite.
