Disertasi ini adalah mengenai satu pencampur Gilbert aktif penurunan ke bawah dalam seni bina penerima radio frekuensi bagi aplikasi W-CDMA (Wide-Band Code Division Multiple Access). Pencampur ini direka dengan menggunakan Silterra proses CMOS 0.18πœ‡π‘š Silterra dengan bekalan voltan 1.8𝑉. Cadence SpectreRF telah digunakan sebagai alat penyelaku bagi projek ini. Isyarat masukan W-CDMA RF berfrekensi 2.14𝐺𝐻𝑧 dan masukan pengayun (LO) berfrekuensi 2.16𝐺𝐻𝑧 telah menghasilkan isyarat IF berfrekuensi 20𝑀𝐻𝑧 . Pencampur yang direka berupaya membekalkan gandaan voltan sebanyak 2.326𝑑𝐡 dengan arus 3.169π‘šπ΄ , titik cegatan masukan bagi pencampur ialah 1.57π‘‘π΅π‘š dan titik kemampatan 1𝑑𝐡 ialah βˆ’8.78π‘‘π΅π‘š. Pencampur yang dicadangkan juga menunjukkan angka hingar yang rendah iaitu 8.258𝑑𝐡. _________________________________________________________________________________________ This dissertation presents the design of an active Gilbert downconversion mixer in the RF receiver architecture for Wide-Band Code Division Multiple Access (W-CDMA) application. The mixer was designed using the Silterra’s CMOS 0.18πœ‡π‘š process with 1.8𝑉 supply voltage. Cadence SpectreRF simulator was used as the design tool for this project. For the 2.14𝐺𝐻𝑧 WCDMA RF and a 2.16𝐺𝐻𝑧 LO input, an 20𝑀𝐻𝑧 signal IF was generated. The mixer is able to provide a voltage gain of 2.326𝑑𝐡 with a current of 3.169π‘šπ΄, input intercept point (𝐼𝐼𝑃τ€¬· ) of is 1.57π‘‘π΅π‘š and a 1𝑑𝐡 compression point of βˆ’8.78π‘‘π΅π‘š. The proposed mixer also shows low noise figure of 8.258𝑑𝐡.
