Pembinaan merupakan penyumbang utama bagi pertumbuhan ekonomi negara terutamanya Malaysia. Industri pembinaan Malaysia kini dalam mod inovasi di mana kaedah pembinaan pasang siap dan moden sedang dilaksanakan dengan pesat. Sistem bangunan industri (IBS) yang dilaksanakan disokong oleh tuntutan perumahan kos rendah yang berpatutan bagi kelas pertengahan yang semakin meningkat. Apabila ada perubahan dalam industri yang besar, selalu sukar untuk mengawal standard kualiti dan skala pelaksanaannya. QLASSIC ialah Sistem Penilaian Mutu dalam pembinaan yang diperkenalkan oleh Lembaga Pembangunan Industri Pembinaan (CIDB) Malaysia untuk bertindak sebagai penanda aras bagi piawaian kualiti negara. Oleh itu, tujuan penyelidikan adalah untuk mengetahui kesedaran dan senarai faktor teknikal dan bukan teknikal yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan QLASSIC dalam projek. Selain itu, kajian ini juga untuk membandingkan kepentingan kriteria yang relevan antara persepsi pihak pembina dan sistem QLASSIC dalam projek IBS. Biasanya, penggunaan QLASSIC dalam IBS di kalangan projek-projek kerajaan jauh lebih tinggi berbanding dengan swasta dan pemarkahan hanya pada julat yang memuaskan. Ini menunjukkan pihak-pihak yang terlibat tidak mengetahui dengan jelas tujuan penggunaan QLASSIC. Kaedah tinjauan soal selidik telah digunakan dalam kajian ini. Data daripada 42 responden telah diperolehi. Sebagai kesimpulan, pihak-pihak berkaitan menyedari bahawa pengaplikasian QLASSIC di IBS tidak mencukupi kerana pendedahan kepada isu-isu pengaruh tidak mencukupi dan kepentingan yang diberikan kepada komponen IBS yang relevan tidak secukup berbanding manual QLASSIC. Hasil penyelidikan ini memperolehi faktor yang mempengaruhi aplikasi QLASSIC dalam susunan hierarki dan peratusan kepentingan yang diberikan kepada komponen IBS dari segi skor QLASSIC oleh responden berbanding manual. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Construction has been the major economic contributor for the growth of a country‟s economy especially Malaysia. Malaysia‟s construction industry is currently in innovation mode where prefabricated and modern methods of construction are being implemented rapidly. Industrial building system (IBS) which has implemented is supported by demands on the huge quantity of affordable and sustainable low-cost housing for the rising middle class. Whenever there is a change in a large industry, it is always difficult to control the quality standard and the implementation scale. QLASSIC is a Quality Assessment System introduced by Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) of Malaysia to act as the benchmark for country‟s quality standard. Therefore, the aim of the research is to find out the awareness and list of technical and non-technical factors that influence the implementation of QLASSIC quality assessment in IBS projects. Besides that, the study is also to compare the importance of relevant criteria between the perception of construction stakeholders and QLASSIC system in the scoring of QLASSIC in IBS projects. Usually, the usage of QLASSIC in IBS among government projects is much higher compared to private and the scoring is only at satisfactory range. This shows the parties involved did not know clearly the aim of QLASSIC usage. Questionnaire Survey Method was used in this study. The surveyed data from 42 respondents was obtained. In conclusion, the related parties realize that the QLASSIC assessment in IBS is not sufficient as exposure to the influence issues are not enough and the importance given to relevant IBS components is not accurate compared to QLASSIC manual. Outcomes of this research involve factors that influence QLASSIC application in hierarchical order and the percentage of importance given to IBS components in terms of QLASSIC scoring by respondents compared to the manual.
