This British Standard provides a code of practice for the design, installation, and operation of intruder alarm systems that use mains wiring as a means of communication between system components.
It applies to:
Intruder detection systems installed in domestic, commercial, and industrial premises
Systems where communication between components (e.g., sensors, control panels, sounders) occurs via existing mains electrical wiring, rather than dedicated signal cables or wireless links
