Assessment of water quality in constructed wetland 2 at University Sains Malaysia, Engineering Campus / Muhammad Hafiz Ali Ramdan
_______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Wetland can be defined as an area of land where the soil is saturated with water either permanently or seasonally. Such area also needs to be covered, at least partially, with shallow pools of water. Wetland include some areas of marsh, fen, peat land or water, whether natural or artificial, permanent or temporary, with water and the depth of which at low tide does not exceed six meters and may incorporated riparian and coastal zones adjacent to the wetland. If wetland does not manage very well, the pollutant removal concentration of wetland is not efficient. So, the pollutant removal need to be controlled to ensure the water quality of the wetland is in good level. In this study, the Water Quality Index (WQI) is increased based on percentages removal according to Department of Environment (DOE).
