Abstract This European Standard, a part of the BS EN 1559 series, specifies the general technical delivery conditions for castings made from cast metallic materials except for copper alloy castings. Additional technical delivery condition requirements which are specific to particular materials are specified in other parts of this series of standards. Specific requirements are given on information to be supplied by the purchaser, designations, the manufacuring process, material and casting requirements, testing and documents on material testing, and marking. This standard is not applicable to metallic castings for further reprocessing such as forging ingots and continuously cast billets and blooms.
