Development of cansat structure and recovery system_Ng Hong Nian_A2_2012_NI
This project is about the development of a CanSat’s structure and its recovery system. The structure is designed and fabricated with the required strength and stability in low cost budget. The anticrash system has been designed to reduce the impact during the landing phase to recover all the subsystems on a CanSat. The analysis has been applied to the CanSat CAD model and the tests have been conducted on the CanSat physically. The analysis includes the stress analysis, which the mechanical test that has been conducted were dropped/impact test, functional test for deployment mechanism and real flight test. The results from the test validate the design so that all the requirements have been fulfilled and the improvement can be applied. This project has also come out with the guidelines in designing and fabricates the structure and recovery system for the educational purpose of learning the spacecraft subsystem.
