BS EN 60704-3:1995 is a European standard that specifies methods for measuring the performance of household electric dishwashers, in terms of energy consumption, cleaning performance, and other related characteristics. The standard sets out specific procedures and requirements for testing the energy efficiency, water consumption, cleaning performance, and other performance parameters of electric dishwashers.
BS EN 60704-3:1995 also includes guidelines for calculating the energy and water efficiency of electric dishwashers, taking into account factors such as the cleaning time, water temperature, and the energy consumption of the appliance during use. The standard is intended to provide a common basis for measuring the performance of electric dishwashers across Europe, ensuring that consumers can make informed choices about the energy and water efficiency and cleaning performance of the appliances they buy.
It is worth noting that this standard has been superseded by BS EN 60704-3:2019, which provides updated testing procedures and performance requirements for electric dishwashers.
