This Part of BS 7666 specifies a model and structure
for an address. The purpose of an address is to
provide a description of a real world object by
reference to its location within Great Britain. This
provides a unique label for the object, so that it may
be identified and located. The address is concerned
with the labelling of an object, rather than the object
itself.
