Development of Fuzzy Controlled Electro-therapeutic Device_Chai Joe Suat_E3_2007_NI
The objective of this project is to develop a fuzzy controlled electro-therapeutic device. The device is able to process the inputs entered by a user and to produce appropriate outputs. The device comprises both hardware and software solutions. A hardware circuit which consists of voltage booster, constant current source, current waveform generator, and user interface is developed to deliver particular stimulating pulse to the user. The stand-alone hardware circuit is supplemented with a software program that is stored in the PIC16F877A microcontroller. The software uses a fuzzy logic approach to respond to inputs from the user. The device is capable of analyzing user’s inputs (desired stimulation mode, gender, age, weight and height) from the user, and producing particular stimulating pulse in intensity that are deemed suitable to the user.
