This Malaysian Standard specifies design and planning criteria for quantity control using on-site detention facilities. Maximum depths are given for various detention sites, as well as tank characteristics and layout, to enable ease of maintenance and ensure public safety. It will enable on-site detention facilities to be designed with cost effectiveness throughout their service life. It does not specify criteria for stormwater quality improvement.
