Pemisahan membran adalah satu kaedah yang cekap tenaga dan kos efektif dalam aplikasi pemisahan gas. Penggunaan biasa membran untuk ¬separation CO2 dalam industri adalah teknologi pengumpulan karbon dan penyingkiran CO2 daripada gas asli. Dalam CO2 / CH4 perpisahan, sebahagian besar daripada membran disintesis penggunaan Robeson plot sempadan atas untuk kebolehtelapan dan pemilihan untuk menanda aras prestasi membran. Masalah dengan plot Robeson adalah bahawa ia direka untuk membran organik. Jenis-jenis membran adalah organik, bukan organik dan dicampur membran matriks. Setiap jenis membran mempunyai kelemahan dalam sifat-sifat fizikal. Kertas kerja ini memberi tumpuan kepada merancang sempadan atas untuk bukan organik dan dicampur membran matriks yang boleh digunakan sebagai rujukan masa depan untuk perbandingan prestasi membran. Dari kajian ini, didapati bahawa sempadan atas semasa bagi membran bukan organik telah beralih ke arah kuadran kedua dari Robeson plot sempadan atas untuk polimer. Ini menunjukkan bahawa membran dikumpul dari kerja ini melepasi Robeson sempadan atas. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Membrane separation is an energy efficient and cost effective method in gas separation applications. Common use of membrane for CO2 separation in industry are carbon capture technology and CO2 removal from natural gas. In CO2/CH4 separation, most of the membranes synthesized use Robeson upper boundary plot for permeability and selectivity to benchmark the performance of the membrane. The problem with the Robeson plot is that it is designed for organic membranes. Common types of membranes are organic, inorganic and mixed matrix membranes. Each types of membrane have its limitation in physical properties. This paper focuses on plotting the upper boundary for inorganic and mixed matrix membranes that can be used as a future reference for comparison of membrane performance. From this work, it is found that the current upper boundary for inorganic membranes has shifted towards the second quadrant from Robeson plot of upper boundary for polymer. This shows that the membranes collated from this work surpass the Robeson upper boundary.
