Perkembangan teknologi masa kini telah menjadikan sistem automatik digunakan secara meluas dalam pelbagai bidang untuk menjimatkan masa dan kos, mengurangkan penggunaan tenaga manusia, dan meningkatkan kecekapan produk. Di dalam projek ini, sistem penyiraman automatik pintar dan sistem pembajaan automatik dicipta untuk menyiram beberapa buah pasu bunga dan memberi baja kepada tanaman setiap hari. Objektif sistem penyiraman dan pembajaan berautomatik pintar ini ialah untuk memastikan tanaman mendapat isipadu air dan baja yang optimum bila diperlukan. Sistem terbenam yang terdiri daripada pengawal elektronik dengan litar elektronik dan papan mikro-pengawal Arduino akan digunakan bagi membangunkan sistem dalam projek ini. Papan Arduino dipilih untuk digunakan dalam projek ini kerana kebolehpercayaannya dan juga mempunyai bahasa pemprograman yang mudah untuk difahami. Penderia kelembapan tanah digunakan dalam projek ini untuk mengumpul data dari tanah. Berpandukan keadaan tanah, ia akan mengaktifkan injap solenoid. Bagi sistem pembajaan, pemasa digunakan untuk menetapkan masa bagi baja diagihkan kepada pasu-pasu bunga. Selain daripada itu, geganti digunakan sebagai suis elektronik untuk mengaktifkan BUKA/TUTUP injap solenoid. Sistem ini juga dilengkapi dengan teknologi Bluetooth yang membolehkan pemantauan sistem diakses melalui telefon pintar. Pengguna juga boleh memantau aktiviti tersebut melalui telefon pintar. Kemudahan berautomatik pintar ini sesuai bagi kegunaan domestik dan berupaya untuk membantu pemiliknya, terutamanya apabila beliau jauh dari rumahnya. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Nowadays due to the growth of technology, automatic system has been widely used in most of the field to optimize time, cost, manpower and also efficiency. A smart automated watering system is designed in this project to water few pots of flowers automatically. It is also included with automated fertilizing system that able to fertilize the plant daily. The objective of this smart automated watering and fertilizing system is to make sure the plants get the optimized volume of water when it is needed and at the same time being supplied with enough fertilizer for its growth. An embedded system which consists of an electronic controller with electronic circuit and Arduino microcontroller board will be implemented in this project to make the system work. The reason of choosing Arduino board in this project is due to Arduino board that is reliable and programming language friendly. The soil moisture sensors will be used in this project to collect the data from the soil. Based on the soil’s condition it will trigger an activation of the solenoid valve and enable the water to be distributed. For the fertilizing system, a timer is used to set time for the fertilizer to be distributed to the flower pots. The relay will be implanted as an electronic switch to operate the ON/OFF of solenoid valve. The system is also equipped with Bluetooth technology in which the monitoring of the system can be accessed via smart phone. From experiments, the system able to water the plant when necessary and provide appropriate fertilizer to it. User can also monitor the activity via smart phone. This smart automated facility is suitable for domestic use and able to assist the owner especially when he/she is away from home.
