Abstract BS EN 61000-4-6:1996 is a British Standard that specifies the immunity requirements and test methods for electrical and electronic equipment when subjected to conducted disturbances, induced by radio-frequency fields. The standard applies to equipment intended to be connected to a public or private network, and its frequency range is from 0 Hz to 400 GHz. This standard is part of the BS EN 61000 series of standards, which covers electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements for electrical and electronic equipment. The series is intended to ensure that equipment can operate as intended in its electromagnetic environment, without causing or being affected by electromagnetic interference.
