Enjin terdiri daripada komponen mudah atau kompleks yang teratur yang terdiri oleh mekanisme penukaran apa-apa jenis tenaga ke suatu bentuk tenaga secara berurutan, berulang-ulang dan cekap untuk mengerjakan atau menggerakan jentera. Dengan definisi ini, kajian mengenai enjin diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kecekapan dan prestasinya. Seperti sifat enjin berbeza pada kelajuan yang berbeza, satu kajian tentang keadaan ini adalah sangat penting kerana ia dipercayai boleh memberi inspirasi dan idea bagaimana untuk menyelesaikan masalah-masalah enjin serta meningkatkan kecekapan dan prestasinya. Sensor tekanan boleh digunakan untuk menganalisis keadaan ini di mana dalam kajian ini, eksperimen akan diadakan untuk memperoleh isyarat balas daripada enjin. Keadaan yang telah ditetapkan bagi mencapai objektif yang akan bermula dengan mengumpulkan data isyarat menjalankan enjin pada keadaan tertentu apabila sensor diletakkan di sepanjang manifold ekzos. Isyarat signal tekanan gas daripada enjin kitaran Otto diperhatikan melalui tindak balas isyarat tekanan gas ekzos. Dengan ini, kita dapat melihat profil tekanan dari segi isyarat voltan daripada sensor di sepanjang paip ekzos. Profil tekanan isyarat kemudiannya dianalisis berdasarkan tindak balas isyarat yang diperolehi dalam eksperimen. Dengan mengukur tindak balas isyarat dengan menggunakan sensor tekanan, keadaan ini boleh dianalisis (Filter) menggunakan MATLAB. Ia dimulakan dengan menyambung sensor kepada ekzos dan juga osiloskop. Kemudian, osiloskop akan menangkap tindak balas isyarat dan memindahkannya ke komputer untuk dianalisis. Kajian ini boleh disahkan oleh kedua-dua eksperimen dan menggunakan simulasi CFD ringkas. Akhirnya, kesimpulan yang boleh dibuat berdasarkan hasil ini, tempat untuk memasang sensor tekanan yang boleh dicadangkan untuk membuktikan hasil yang boleh digunakan dalam membangunkan enjin yang lebih baik. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Engine is an organized simple or complex component made up by the mechanism of converting any reliable energy into another form of energy sequential, repetition and efficient to mechanized the work. By this definition, a study on an engine is needed to improve its efficiency and performance. As the engine behave differently at different speed, a study about this condition is very important that it is believe could give some inspiration and idea on how to solve any engine problem as well as increasing its efficiency and performance. The pressure sensor could be used to analyze this condition where in this study, the experiments will be held to acquire response signal from the engine. Conditions has been set in order to achieve its objective which will starting by collecting data signal of running engine at certain condition when the sensor is placed along the exhaust manifold. Signal response of the gas pressure of Otto cycle engine is observed through the signal response of exhaust gas pressure. By this, we could see the pressure profile in terms of voltage signal from the sensor along the exhaust pipe. This signal pressure profile is then analyzed based on its signal response acquired during experiment. By measuring its signal response using the pressure sensor, these conditions can be analyzed (filter) using MATLAB. It is started by connecting the sensors to the exhaust and to the oscilloscope. Then, oscilloscope will catch the signal response and transfer it to the computer to be analyzed. This study can be verified by both experiment and using simple CFD simulation. Finally, a conclusion could be made based on these outcomes, a place to install the pressure sensor can be suggested to prove the outcomes that can be used in developing a better engine.
