BS EN 50090-3-1:1996 is a European Standard titled "Home and Building Electronic Systems (HBES) - Part 3-1: Installation Planning - Planning and Installation". This standard provides guidance and requirements for the planning and installation of electronic systems in homes and buildings, including the design and layout of the system, as well as the selection and installation of components.
The standard covers a wide range of electronic systems, including lighting control, security systems, heating and ventilation control, and audio/video systems. It provides guidelines for the integration of these systems into a coherent whole, as well as the necessary interfaces between different systems.
BS EN 50090-3-1:1996 is one of a series of standards related to Home and Building Electronic Systems (HBES) developed by the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC). These standards aim to promote interoperability and compatibility between different electronic systems, as well as to ensure the safety and reliability of these systems in homes and buildings.
