Motor elektrik arus terus tanpa berus digunakan secara meluas di dalam industri disebabkan oleh penyelenggaraan yang rendah dan nilai kecekapan yang tinggi berbanding dengan motor elektrik arus terus dengan berus. Motor BLDC mempunyai kecekapan, jangka hayat yang panjang, penghantaran tork lancer dan operasi kelajuan tinggi. Namun, pada masa lalu, kegunaan BLDC telah terhad disebabkan oleh kos tambahan pengawal motor kompleks yang diperlukan untuk mengendalikan motor ini. Walau bagaimanapun, kos pengawal telah trend menurun dalam beberapa tahan kebelakangan ini seperti kegunaan BLDC motor telah menigkat dan dijangka berkembang. Di dalam projek ini, reka bentuk BLDC motor pengawal dengan FPGA modul. FPGA berfungsi sebagai system kawalan terbenam. Pereka boleh memprogram semula untuk membetulkan program, mempunyai kependekan masa memasarkan produk dan mengurangkan ulangan pengunaan tenaga kejuruteraan. Fungsi seperti brek, bermula, putaran dan kelajuan dapat dikawal oleh pengawal BLDC. Selain pengwal enjin, dua jenis pemandu enjin diperlukan seperti pemandu kuasa dan permandu gate. Pemandu kuasa digunakan ialah MOSFET manakala pemandu gate yang digunakan ialah geganti. Pemandu kuasa membekalkan sumber kuasa untuk enjin. Sementara itu pemandu gate berfungsi sebagai pertukaran pemandu kuasa. System kawalan tertutup direka dengan Hall Effect Sensor mengesan kedudukan magnet kekal di dalam engine BLDC. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Brushless DC motors is used widely in the industry due to its low maintenance and high efficiency advantages compared to brushed DC motors. BLDC motors have superior efficiency, long life span, smooth torque delivery, and high speed operation. Yet, in the past, their application has been limited due to the additional cost of complex motor controller necessary to operate these motors. However, controller costs have been trending downward in recent years such that application of brushless dc motors is on the rise and expected to grow. In this project, designs a brushless DC motor controller using FPGA module are optimized the complexity of motor controller. FPGA can function as embedded control system; designers can be reprogramming in the field to fix bugs and may include a shorter time to market and lower non-recurring engineering costs. Function like brake, stop, enable, direction of rotation, and speed is controlled by the controller. Besides motor controller, two kind of driver such as power driver and gate driver is needed to drive the high voltage and high current motor. Power driver used is MOSFET power driver and gate driver used is relay. Power driver supply the power source to motor. Meanwhile gate driver act as a switch to turn on and off the power driver. A reliable closed-loop controller is designed with the helped by the Hall Effect Sensor detect the position of permanent magnet inside the brushless DC motor.
