Applicability: The method is designed to determine free formaldehyde content in detergent formulations. It is important to note that this method is not suitable for formulations containing formaldehyde donors, as they can release formaldehyde under certain conditions, potentially interfering with the accuracy of the test. ​ Methodology: The standard describes a spectrometric procedure for the quantification of free formaldehyde. This involves measuring the absorbance of the detergent sample at specific wavelengths to determine the concentration of free formaldehyde present
