BS 7064:1989 - Specification for compact disc digital audio system

This standard specifies the mechanical, physical, and digital characteristics of the Compact Disc Digital Audio (CD-DA) system, commonly referred to as the audio CD format. It outlines the format used for digitally encoding and reproducing high-fidelity audio signals on 120 mm optical discs, following the internationally recognized "Red Book" specification developed by Sony and Philips.
