This standard applies to dimensional, mechanical and electrical requirements for non-perforated blank and pre-recorded magnetic tape and for the associated recording and reproducing systems such as reel, cassette-to-read, cassette and cartridge. The methods of measurements and the necessary tolerance to secure interchangeability of recordings are included.
