Tujuan kajian ini dilakukan adalah untuk mengenalpasti hubungan antara ketinggian kawasan daripada paras laut dengan kadar kepekatan karbon monoksida. Data yang diperlukan diambil dengan menggunakan alat bernama Indoor Air Quality Monitor. Data diambil daripada dua kawasan kajian yang berbeza iaitu di Bukit Jambul yang mana satu daripadanya terletak di kawasan bandar dan satu lagi di persisir pantai. Setiap kawasan kajian mempunyai tiga lokasi kecil yang berlainan yang mepunyai ketinggian yang berlainan. Data telah diambil pada waktu kemuncak pagi dan tengah hari. Setiap satu lokasi kecil akan menghasilkan dua set data. Untuk keseluruhan kawasan kajian, dua belas set data telah diperolehi. Pelbagai analisis statistik telah dijalankan untuk melihat sama ada terdapat perbezaan antara kepekatan karbon monoksida dengan perbezaan ketinggian, kawasan kajian berlainan dan lokasi kecil kajian yang berlainan. Keputusan menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan antara kawasan kajian yang berlainan dan juga waktu kemuncak. Kepekatan karbon monoksida juga telah ditunjukkan dalam bentuk peta. ___________________________________________________________________________________ This study explores the relationship between elevations and concentration of carbon monoxide. Concentration of studied pollutant was determined in situ by using Indoor Air Quality Monitor. The required data were collected at two different study areas which were at the city and coastal area. Both study areas are Bukit Jambul and Batu Feringgi. Each study areas consist of study points with different elevations. Data were collected during morning and afternoon peak hour. One study points will produce two sets of data. Total twelve sets of data collected from those two study areas. Several statistical analyses were done to see whether there were significant differences between elevations, within the study areas and between study areas. The result highlighted that there were significant differences between study areas and peak hours. The concentrations of carbon monoxide are also visualized in the form of map.
