Pemindahan kuasa elektrik yang berlaku antara alat elektrik dan sumber elektrik adalah melalui penyambungan kabel elektrik. Namun baru-baru ini, trend sudah berubah di mana pengkaji cuba untuk memindahkan tenaga elektrik tanpa menggunakan kabel. Teknologi ini dikenali sebagai penghantaran kuasa tanpa wayar. Teknologi penghantaran kuasa tanpa wayar telah digunapakai di dalam berus gigi elektrik dan pengecas alat elektrik. Kini, penghantaran kuasa elektrik tanpa wayar menggunakan kaedah resonansi medan magnet telah menjadi terkenal untuk menghantar kuasa elektrik tanpa wayar. Tujuan projek ini adalah untuk mengetahui prinsip bagaimana kuasa elektrik dihantar melalui resonansi medan magnet. Satu litar telah dibina menggunakan prinsip transformer tanpa teras besi. Resonansi di antara gegelung penghantaran dan gegelung penerimaan dicapai melalui taburan kapasitan dalaman. Kajian mengenai kuasa keluaran pada frekuensi rendah telah dijalankan. Di dalam projek ini, diameter gegelung penerimaan telah diubah-ubah untuk menambahkan pemahaman mengenai hubungan antara kuasa keluaran dan diameter gegelung penerimaan. Selain itu, penyiasatan menyeluruh mengenai taburan medan magnet di kawasan gegelung penghantaran telah dijalankan menggunakan kaedah FEM. Kaedah ini boleh didapati di dalam perisian Opera 2d. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Electrical power transfer involved cables between electrical device and electrical source. But recently, the trend is already changing where nowadays people try to transfer electrical power without wire known as wireless power transmission. The wireless power transmission technology already exists in electrical toothbrush and gadget charging device. Nowadays, wireless power transmission using magnetic field resonance becomes a popular method to transmit power wirelessly. The aim of this project is to study the principle of wireless power transmission via magnetic field resonance. A simple circuit is constructed using transformer principle where the iron core is removed. Resonance between transmitter and receiver coil is achieved by the distribution of internal capacitance. The study of output power characteristic at low frequency has been carried out. In this project, the receiver coil diameter is varies to gives more understanding about the relationship between output power characteristic and receiver coil diameter. In addition, detailed investigation of magnetic flux distribution analysis along receiver coil has been carried out by finite element method using Opera 2d software.
