Projek ini adalah bertajuk Pemerolehan Data (DAQ) dan Aplikasi Pengukuran DAQ berserta dengan Program Pengujian Agilent Pro VEE 8.0. Getaran motor pelangkah dan sukatan suhu telah dijalankan sebagai aplikasi pengukuran DAQ. Objektif utama adalah untuk kajian serta penyelidikan mengenai koncept am pemerolehan data dan menganalisis Agilent U2353A Multifunction Data Acquisitoion USB (DAQ) supaya menghasilkan set demo aplikasi pengukuran DAQ yang dapat dikawal olen program antara muka pengguna Agilent Vee Pro 8.0 untuk mengautomasikan proses pengukuran serta mengumpul data untuk dianalisis. Pemerolehan data (DAQ) melibatkan process memperoleh isyarat-isyarat dan gelombang-gelombang kemudian memproseskan isyarat-isyarat tersebut demi mendapatkan maklumat yang dikehendaki. Ia juga merupakan persampelan fenomena fizikal daripada sumber-sumber pengukuran, misalnya pengesan dan transduser dengan tujuan supaya data yang didapati boleh dipapar, dipamer pada computer dan disimpan untuk analysis lanjut. Pemerolehan data (DAQ) boleh digunakan dalam pelbagai aplikasi. Agilent VEE merupakan perisian dengan pengaturcaraan grafik yang khasnya untuk pemeroleh data (DAQ) telah dihasilkan supaya sesuai untuk perbagai jenis perkakasan pemerolehan data. Perisian yang khas ini bersama dengan komputer peribadi berperanan untuk mengawal fungsi-fungsi perkakasan pemerolehan data. Selain itu, perisian ini membenarkan pertukaran maklumat di antara computer dan perkakasan pemerolehan data. Motor pelangkah memainkan peranan penting dalam bidang kawalan motor. Motor ini biasanya digunakan dalam aplikasi-aplikasi kawalan dalam industri yang memerlukan tataatur yang tepat. Walaupun motor pelangkah adalah lebih kos efektif, tetapi diketahui bahawa sesetengah motor pelangkah menghsilkan getaran and bunyi dalam paras yang tinggi. Secara umumnya, tahap-tahap bunyi dihasilkan adalah baik di dalam standard-standard kesihatan, bagaimanapun bunyi yang dihasilkan daripada peralatan persisian komputer merupakan satu punca kejengkelan dan akan menjejaskan tumpuan kesan. Secara kesimpulannya, project ini yang melakukan pengujian dan analisis getaran bagi motor pelangkah dengan menggunakan pemerolehan data adalah diperlukan. This project is entitled Data Acquisition (DAQ) and DAQ Measurement Application with Test Program by Agilent VEE Pro 8.0. Stepper motor vibration and temperature measurement will be conducted as the DAQ measurement application. The main objective of this project is to study and research regarding to the general concept of data acquisition and analyze the Agilent U2353A Multifunction USB Data Acquisition (DAQ) in order to come out with the DAQ measurement application demo set which can be control by user interface program Agilent VEE 8.0 to automate measurements and make data available for analysis. DAQ is the process of gathering signals related to physical parameters from various measurement sources such as sensors and devices under test and digitizing them for storage, analysis and presentation in an automated fashion. PC-Based data acquisition uses a combination of hardware, software and a computer to automate measurements and make data available for analysis. Agilent VEE is a graphical programming language optimized for building test and measurement applications, and programs with operator interfaces. The released of the Agilent VEE product is for groups of engineers that need to create complex test and measurement systems. In other words, Agilent VEE Pro is a powerful graphical language environment, that provides the fastest path to measurement analysis. Stepper motors fill a unique niche in the motor control world. These motors are commonly used in measurement and control applications that need accurate and precise positioning for industrial such as factory automation and robotics and, in particular, the computer-peripheral market. Although stepper motors are more cost-effective, it has been known that some stepper motors produce high levels of vibration and noise. The noise levels produced are in general well within health standards, however the noise from computer-peripheral equipment is a source of annoyance and can effect concentration. As a conclusion, data acquisition is able to fit the requirement for stepper motor vibration measurement, thus there is a need for this project to measure and analyze the motor vibrations using Agilent USB DAQ U2353A.
