This standard defines the rules for the qualitative classification of round timbers of oaks and beech presented in the form of tree-length, log or billet. The oaks classification is applied only for the following species: sessile oak (Quercus sessiliflora SALISB, or Quercus petraea LIEBL) and pedonculated oak (Quercus robur L. or Quercus pedonculata EHRH).
