Metodologi terperinci mengenai pembinaan contoh-contoh mengenai aplikasi sebenar ujian statistik tak berparameter dalam bidang kejuruteraan diberikan dalam tesis ini. Baru-baru ini,di dapati bahawa tidak terdapat dokumentasi tentang penggunaan ujian statistik tak berparameter oleh para pelajar di PPKEE. Tiga ujian statistik tak berparameter yang dibahas, iaitu ujian tanda, ujian pangkat bertanda Wilcoxon dan ujian Mann-Whitney U. Ini diikuti dengan meninjau tesis projek tahun akhir di PPKEE. Sebanyak 200 tesis telah ditinjau. Namun, tidak ada ujian statistik tak berparameter yang digunakan untuk menganalisa data eksperimen. Emapat contoh dalam bidang kejuruteraan menggunakan ujian statistik tak berparameter dibina. Contoh contoh yang telah di bina telah dianalisis dengan menggunakan Minitab (Versi 14). Semua contoh didokumentasikan dan dinilai. Borang penilaian direka untuk mendapatkan maklum balas daripada mahasiswa teknik mengenai contoh contoh yang telah didokumentasikan. Tiga puluh mahasiswa terlibat untuk mengisi borang penilaian. Dari analisis borang penilaian, contoh-contoh yang telah disediakan adalah pada tahap yang baik.

A detailed methodology on the development of actual engineering examples on nonparametric statistical tests is presented in this thesis. Recently, there is no documentation on the application of the nonparametric statistical
tests by the students at SEE. Three nonparametric statistical tests are discussed, namely Sign Test, Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Mann-Whitney U Test. This is followed by a review of the final year project thesis at SEE to point out actual examples of nonparametric statistical tests. About two hundred theses are reviewed. However, there are no nonparametric statistical tests used to analyze the experimental data. Four actual engineering examples on nonparametric statistical tests were developed. The data from the examples were analyzed using Minitab (Release 14). All the examples were documented and evaluated. The evaluation form was designed to get a feedback from engineering students regarding the examples. Thirty students are contributed to fill out the evaluation form. From the analysis of the evaluation form, the performance of the examples that was developed is at a “Good” level.
