Pada pertengahan abad ke-20, penggunaan robot bergerak telah digunakan secara berleluasa di seluruh dunia. Kegunaan robot bergerak adalah amat penting kerana kebanyakan kerja-kerja yang dilakukan oleh manusia digantikan robot bergerak. Disamping itu robot bergerak berjaya melakukan kerja yang tidak mampu dilakukan atau dicapai oleh manusia. Oleh itu kegunaan robot mobil secara berleluasa seperti unit penyelamat mangsa kebakaran, unit pengebom, unit penyelidik dan unit pengawasi. Pembuatan robot bergerak ini memerlukan tiga kombinasi iaitu elektronik, elektrik dan mekanikal. Tujuan utama dalam projek ini melibatkan rekabentuk robot bergerak di mana dilengkapi dengan sistem kawalan untuk mengawal gerakan robot bergerak menaiki dan menuruni tangga malah boleh bergerak arah kiri, kanan, depan dan belakang. Di samping itu juga terdapat jejari pada robot bergerak yang memain peranan yang penting di mana memastikan robot bergerak dapat menaik dan menuruni tangga. Robot bergerak ini terdiri daripada peralatan kawalan dekat, pemacu kawalan motor dan tiga biji motor : satu motor 12 voltan arus terus dan dua motor 24 voltan arus terus untuk mengerakkan robot tersebut. Semua litar yang terlibat diletakkan di atas robot bergerak. ___________________________________________________________________________________________ In this middle 20st century, the usage of mobile robot has been used widely throughout the whole world. Mobile robot is very important because most of the duties done by human could be replaced by them. Besides, mobile robots have the ability to do tasks that could not be done by human being. The examples of the usage of mobile robots are Fire Victim Safety Unit, Anti-Bombing unit, Searcher unit and Supervision Unit. In assembling the mobile robot, we need three combination of field, which are Electronic, Electrical and Mechanical. The aim of this project is involved the design of mobile robot which will equip with control system to control movement mobile robot to climb and descend stairs while mobile robot can move left, right, forward and backward direction. Beside that this mobile robot have finger which have important character to make sure the mobile robot can climb and descend stairs. Mobile robot consist of short range remote control, motor driver controller and three direct current motor: 12 voltage direct-current motor and two 24-voltage direct current motor to robot mobile movement. All electronics circuit that involves in mobile robot will put on the top of the mobile robot.
