"This British Standard specifies safety requirements intended to ensure the safety of operators and other people who may come into contact with information technology equipment, including electrical business equipment. It applies to equipment designed for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments, and addresses hazards associated with electrical, mechanical, thermal, fire, and radiation risks."
