Four feeding microstrip patch antenna
In this project, the design and investigation of microstrip patch antenna are carried out with four feeding. The four feeding microstrip antenna is designed to combine the power externally which will be used in wireless communication in future. This project is divided into two parts. There are simulation part and hardware part. For the simulation part, the microstrip patch antenna with four feeding was designed and simulated in Advanced Design System (ADS) at frequency 2.0GHz to obtain the behavior of the four feeding microstrip patch antenna. Momentum uses the method of Moments approach was used to analyze the antenna and was found accurate at low frequencies with homogenous substrates. For the hardware part, the four feeding microstrip patch antenna was then fabricated on low dielectric constant substrate which will operate in a wide range of frequencies. The microstrip patch antenna was tested as a receiver antenna and the signal received was measured by vector analyzer. The simulation results and measurement results were compared to see the characteristics of the four feeding microstrip patch antenna such as its radiation pattern, antenna gain and S parameter measurement. Additionally, all problems occured from the design was considered. The simulation and measurement results were achieved with the goals of the project. Dalam projek tahun akhir ini, antena mikrojalur segi empat dengan empat suapan direkabentuk dan diselidikan pada frekuensi 2.0GHz. Antena mikrojalur empat segi dengan empat suapan ini digunakan untuk mengimplementasi kuasa dalam system perhubungan. Secara umumnya, projek ini terbahagi kepada dua bahagian iaitu bahagian simulasi dan bahagian perkakasan. Dalam bahagian simulasi, perisian ADS( Advanced Design System) digunakan untuk merekabentuk dan menyelaku pada frekuensi 2.0GHz untuk mendapatkan cirri-ciri bagi antena mikrojalur empat segi dengan empat suapan. Bagi bahagian parkakasan pula, bentangan yang telah direkabentuk difabrikasikan dengan jenis substratum yang mempunyai dielektrik yang rendah. Selepas itu, corak radiasi, Parameter-S dan gandaan antena mikrojalur empat segi dengan empat suapan diukur. Secara seluruhannya, hasil yang telah dapat boleh dikatakan mencapai objectif bagi projek ini.
