Komunikasi cahaya (VLC) adalah komunikasi tanpa wayar yang baru yang menggunakan sumber cahaya yang boleh dilihat untuk penghantaran data. Projek ini bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan permintaan yang tinggi untuk kadar pemindahan data yang lebih tinggi. Objektif projek ini boleh dirumuskan sebagai untuk bentuk dan melaksanakan modul yang dapat menyokong penghantaran mudah dalam sistem VLC. Projek ini memberi tumpuan kepada pemprosesan data VLC pemancar dan penerima menggunakan Verilog HDL dan diprogramkan di Altera DE2-115 FPGA papan pengawal. Sistem penghantaran data mudah untuk penghantaran data input 8-bit dibina dengan PS / 2 keyboard sebagai input dan cecair kristal paparan (LCD) sebagai paparan output. Frequency Division Multiplexing ortogon (OFDM) teknik modulasi dilaksanakan dalam VLC pemancar dan penerima kerana kekukuhannya gangguan pelbagai arah. Fasa pembangunan sistem VLC dikelaskan kepada pembangunan VLC transmitter, VLC penerima, pelaksanaan perkakasan dan penyegerakan sistem VLC dengan perkakasan LED pemancar dan fotodiod penerima. perisian Quartus II digunakan untuk mereka bentuk dan program modul ke dalam papan FPGA, MegaWizard Plug-In Pengurus digunakan untuk mencipta harta intelek (IP) teras dan SignalTap II Logik Analyzer digunakan untuk simulasi dan sistem pengesahan .Bagi untuk menguji fungsi VLC pemancar dan penerima, simulasi dilakukan bagi setiap modul dan VLC transceiver dibentuk dan disahkan. Beberapa ujian praktikal telah dilakukan untuk pengesahan sistem dan ia terbukti bahawa penghantaran data boleh dilaksanakan dengan jayanya antara dua papan FPGA melalui pendawaian .Untuk penyegerakan VLC, dua jam daripada 2.4kHZ dan 60kHz digunakan untuk pemprosesan dan data masing-masing proses menukarkan data. Penyegerakan dengan perkakasan diuji, tetapi data yang diterima oleh penerima tidak dapat diproses kerana masa masalah penyegerakan. Secara keseluruhan, sistem VLC dibuktikan bahawa ia mampu untuk menghantar satu aksara dalam satu penghantaran. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Visible light communication (VLC) is a new wireless communication that uses visible light source for data transmission . This project is aimed to solve high demands for higher data transfer rate . The objective of the project can be summarized to design and implement modules that are able to support simple transmission in VLC system . This project focuses on the data processing of VLC transmitter and receiver using Verilog HDL and programmed on Altera DE2-115 FPGA controller board. A simple data transmission system to transmit a 8-bit input data is built with PS/2 keyboard as the inputs and liquid-crystal display (LCD) as the output display. Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) modulation technique is implemented in VLC transmitter and receiver due to its robustness to multipath interference. The development phase of VLC system is classified into development of VLC transmitter , VLC receiver , hardware implementation and VLC system synchronization with hardware LED transmitter and photodiode receiver. Quartus II software is used to design and program the modules into FPGA board, MegaWizard Plug-In Manager is used to create intellectual property (IP) cores and SignalTap II Logic Analyzer is used for on-board simulation and system validation. For the result and validation part , in order to test the functionality of VLC transmitter and receiver, simulation is done for each module and VLC transceiver is formed and validated. Several practical testing were done for system validation and it is proven that data transmission can be carried out successfully between two FPGA boards through wiring. For the VLC synchronization , two clock of 2.4kHZ and 60kHZ are used for data processing and data converting process respectively. The synchronization with hardware is tested, but the data received by the receiver circuit is unable to be processed due to timing synchronization problem. Overall, the VLC system is proven that it is able to transmit a single character in one transmission.
