This British Standard specifies the design, construction, testing and acceptance requirements for detonators intended for civil use. Detonators for use in military operations, weapons, firearms, railway warming systems, special effects, fire protection systems, or reference detonators (explosives testing) are not intended to fall within the scope of this standard.
