BS 8298:1994 : Code of practice for Design and installation of natural stone cladding and lining

Abstract This British Standard provides recommendations for the design, installation and maintenance of mechanically fixed facing units of natural stone as a cladding and lining: a) held to a structural background by metal fixings b) to precast concrete units (i.e. stone faced concrete cladding units). Loadbearing cladding or cladding held only by adhesion is not included, nor is any type of cladding supported or held in position around the perimeter of stones or series of stones by metal framing.
