BS 2782-11:Method 1112A:1989 is a British Standard that specifies a method for testing the leaktightness of thermoplastics pipes and fittings intended for non-pressure applications. The test involves subjecting an assembly of pipes and/or fittings to an internal hydrostatic pressure of at least 0.5 bar (0.1 MPa) and inspecting the joints and seals for any signs of leakage. This procedure ensures the reliability and performance of piping systems used in non-pressure scenarios.
