Heterogen Fenton merupakan proses pengoksidaan lanjutan yang mendapat tarikan untuk merawat sisa dengan kadar penguraian tertinggi menggunakan sokongan pemangkin. Oleh itu, kajian ini telah memberi tumpuan terhadap keberkesanan Fenton-seperti pengoksidaan pada reaktif hijau-19 (RG19) dengan beberapa pengubahsuaian parameter dalam proses sintesis dan penguraian. Lazimnya, hexagon mesoberliang digunakan sebagai sokongan dalam sistem Fenton-seperti kerana beberapa sifat unik, seperti kawalan saiz dan isipadu liang, kawasan permukaan yang besar, aturan susunan mesostruktur, dan kestabilan haba yang terpilih. Nitrat Iron (Fe(NO)3.9H2O) disokong mesoberliang hexagon (HMS) telah disintesis melalui kaedah sintesis langsung dengan pengubahsuaian parameter, iaitu kepekatan asid dan jumlah Fe dengan 2 mgL-1 HCl dan 13wt % Fe sebagai parameter yang optimum. Pencirian mangkin menggunakan SEM, EDX dan N2 penguraian menunjukkan bahawa pemangkin Fe-HMS mempamerkan sifat 2D mesoberliang hexagon. Kajian kinetik untuk pelbagai rawatan RG-19 dengan suhu reaksi 40˚C, pH 3, 3 mgL-1 Fe-HMS, 50 μL H2O2, dan 100 mgL-1 pewarna telah dijalankan, dimana Fenton-seperti proses telah mencapai pekali korelasi untuk menunjukkan mekanisme pertama. Kehadiran anions amat tidak digalakkan bagi rawatan air sisa kerana mengurangkan kecekapan penyingkiran. Sampel yang dinalisis oleh COD dan logam larut lesap adalah di bawah piawaian Jabatan Alam Sekitar bagi efluen, dan tidak membahayakan alam sekitar. Akhir sekali, Fe-HMS boleh diguna semula dan mempunyai kestabilan dalam beberapa kitaran. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________ Heterogeneous Fenton reaction is an advanced oxidation process which gained the most attraction to degrade pollutants at high decolorization rate, with the use of support catalyst. Hence, this research has been focused on the effectiveness of Fenton-like oxidation on Reactive Green-19 (RG19) with some modification of parameters in synthesis and degradation process. Conventionally, hexagonal mesoporous are used as support materials because of unique properties, such as controllable pore size and pore volume, high surface area, high ordered mesostructure, and has selective thermal stability. Iron nitrate (Fe(NO)3.9H2O) supported hexagonal mesoporous (HMS) materials have been synthesized via direct synthesis under modified conditions, which are acid concentration and Fe dosage with 2 mgL-1 of HCl and 13wt% Fe as optimal parameters, respectively. Characterizations by SEM, EDX and N2 sorption reveals that Fe-HMS catalyst exhibited 2D-hexagonal mesoporous properties. The kinetic study of various treatment of RG-19 solution with a reaction temperature 40 ˚C, pH 3, 3 mgL-1 of Fe-HMS, 50 μL of H2O2, and 100 mgL-1 of dye was carried out, where Fenton-like process correlation coefficient which favors first order model. The presence of anions is unfavorable for wastewater treatment due to low efficiency. The analysis sample by COD and metal leaching are below DOE standard for effluent, therefore it can safely discharged to environment. Lastly, Fe-HMS catalyst can be reuse and have stability in their reaction within several cycles.
